Owner/Founder and Lead Instructor:
Professional Background
Doy, as the owner/founder, brings decades of experience in military survival instruction, federal law enforcement training, and operational leadership to Sentinel Tactical & Survival. His career spans advanced instructional roles across the Department of Defense and Federal Law Enforcement, with a focus on preparing individuals and teams for high-risk, high-consequence environments.
He retired from the United States Air Force as a Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) Specialist, where he served for more than a decade as an instructor, trainer, supervisor, and training superintendent. During this time, he designed and delivered survival and resistance training to aircrew and special operations forces across multiple environments, including arctic, desert, jungle, and maritime settings.
Following military service, he continued his career as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer and Instructor, serving in both operational and senior instructional roles, including two instructor assignments at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC).
His instructional portfolio includes firearms, counterterrorism, SERE, high angle rescue, tactical rappelling, use of force, active threat response, land navigation, man-tracking, small-unit tactics, search and rescue, ATV/UTV operations, and high-risk field operations.

Training Philosophy
At Sentinel Tactical & Survival, instruction is built on three core principles:
Responsibility – Training is conducted with a safety-first mindset and respect for the seriousness of defensive skills.
Competence – Skills are taught to a standard, not a schedule.
Endurance – Students are prepared not only for the moment of crisis, but for the physical and mental demands that follow.
The goal is not to create shooters or outdoorsmen for sport, but capable, disciplined individuals who can think, decide, and act effectively under stress.
