Mantracking Fundamentals

This course introduces students to the art and science of tracking human movement through natural environments. Participants will learn how to identify and interpret the subtle signs people leave behind as they move across terrain, allowing them to follow individuals even when tracks appear difficult to see.
Mantracking has been used for centuries by military forces, law enforcement, and search and rescue teams to locate missing persons and fugitives. This course provides the foundational skills needed to begin developing the observation and analytical abilities required to track effectively.
Students will learn how to recognize disturbances in soil, vegetation, and natural surfaces, as well as how to interpret track patterns and movement indicators.
Advanced Mantracking & Tactical Tracking
Multi-Day Course
Duration: 1-3 Day
Location: KY or WV
This advanced course builds on the fundamentals of tracking during day and nighttime operations and teaches students how to conduct sustained tracking operations in complex environments. Participants will develop the ability to follow human sign across varied terrain, recover lost tracks, and track individuals attempting to evade detection.
The training incorporates techniques used in law enforcement fugitive tracking, search and rescue operations, and military tracking programs, emphasizing both individual skill and team coordination.
Students will participate in extended tracking exercises designed to simulate real-world scenarios where subjects actively attempt to avoid being tracked.
